When I was just 4 months old, we went to Wimberley to visit (without Bud). Oh was it beautiful; deer and wild turkeys were everywhere. Well now 9 years later we are going back. Bud and I are always excited to go, and we are staying in a nice cabin called Cypress Creek cottages with a hot tub overlooking the creek, dog friendly with fenced in dog parklike area. Getting a cake from The Sugar Shack is on my family's list.

We loved Wimberley and wanted to move there. We looked at property (very reasonable at the time), but their jobs skills could not be easily used in Wimberley. Now a few more restaurants are there and we are looking forward to exploring the area more. We visited the glass blowing shop and watched them nearly finish a giant vase before it fell off and broke. He said that it rarely happens.

Bring good sneakers, mosquito repellent, towels for the us, shampoo for us (because water will be laid in), warm fleece (40 degrees at night), dog booties, Bud's jacket and heating pad since his arthritis bothers him before 65 degrees.

Walking the 284 steps up to Old Baldy, touring Jacob's well, Leaning Pear Restaurant, cooking in the cabins, buying fresh, local vegetables, and our family trying out Brewsters pizza and beer.

Loved Cypress Creek Cottages (especially number 11 on the creek, sit on the patio, new fence next door for privacy). Dogs had their own dog bed, treats, bowls, towel to cover sofa, and weewee pad (never used).
