Without her Buddy on our last sailing trip, Whitley was very sad and mopey. She slept in each morning, and never would play with her toys. Upon returned to our home slip, I told Whitley that Rigger (a yellow lab friend) was walking down the road. She saw him and made a beeline for him. I was yelling for her stop-heel-no. But when she got to Rigger, she realized that it was not Bud and could not care less about Rigger.
When we went to get Bud at my parents, Whitley was beside her self with excitement and joy. She so missed her Bud.
Bud needs to go in for surgery to have a plum size growth removed from his chest. His breathing seems rather labored, but maybe he was just happy that we were altogether. His eyesight is extremely poor. He knows his house and can smell something stinky a 100 feet or more away.
